I would first like to thank those of you who participated in the informal meeting on the 2010 HNS Convention held on October 24, 2013 during the recent meetings of the IOPC Funds. It is evident that taking advantage of these opportunities is to our benefit.
At the meeting, we agreed to re-launch the informal correspondence group to allow a continued exchange of ideas among those working on the implementation of the HNS Convention. As a way to launch this correspondence group and to ensure that the right people are included in the distribution list, I ask that you please pass this email to your colleagues and provide me with their email address so that I can include them.
I have taken note of the following two action items from the meeting:
1) Produce a report of the meeting
2) Investigate with the IOPC Funds, the possibility of creating a page on the HNS Convention’s website where correspondence, questions, pertinent documents (such as implementing legislation) be more easily shared.
I have committed to work on both action items and am attaching the report from the meeting. I would ask that you please review the report to ensure the status of the implementation in your state is correctly captured. On the second item, I will report back to the Correspondence Group on progress.
I would also encourage you to use this opportunity to pose questions and share any pertinent information with the Correspondence Group. I will be sending periodic updates and will seek to encourage the discussion.
