New HNS Blog available

In March 2019, a revamped version of the HNS Convention website was made available.

The purpose of this blog section is to provide a platform for States, industry and other interested parties, to raise questions about the functioning of the HNS Convention and share their experience in terms of practical implementation. We hope this tool will help to facilitate the better understanding of the Convention and its wider implementation for the benefit of victims of HNS incidents.

The Blog section had originally been set up to facilitate the work of the HNS Correspondence Group set up by the IMO Legal Committee in 2013. It was effectively used until the end of 2017, as a conduit for sharing information and questions, mostly among the members of the Group.
